In May 2022, Marcus Ericsson made history after winning the prestigious Indy 500 race as the first Swede in 23 years. After almost three hours of driving at an average speed of 280 km/h, Marcus took home the victory in front of 320.000 spectators in Indianapolis, USA. To celebrate his big win, Marcus’s main sponsor, Huski Chocolate arranged a Trophy Tour in Sweden where the almost 2 m high trophy was brought to Sweden for the first time ever.
During the trophy tour, fans had the chance to meet Marcus for a meet and greet at Westfield Mall of Scandinavia and at a big celebration at the town square of Marcus’s hometown Kumla.
On behalf of Huski Chocolate, Håkanson United was responsible for the event at Westfield Mall of Scandinavia, the concept and the Swedish PR during the trophy tour, which resulted in national coverage in all the main news outlets, such as TV4, SVT, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen, a cover of King Magazine, podcasts etc.
